Grant Opportunities
Strong communities are built on strong organizations.
Capacity Building Grants
CFECI’s Nonprofit Capacity Building Grants exist to help the organizations serving East Central Illinois grow more effective, more resilient, and better equipped to deliver on their missions. We believe investing in how nonprofits operate is just as important as investing in what they do.
These grants support projects that strengthen core areas of organizational life, including proposals like communications, fundraising, governance, financial management, leadership, data management, program delivery, diversity and equity, and strategic planning.
Applications open May 1 and are due by May 31.
Community Commitment Grants
These grants are made possible by donors who chose to invest in our community’s future and in the organizations that serve it.
Each year, CFECI invites nonprofits to apply for funding that helps them further their mission with greater strength and stability. Awards focus on tangible, long-lasting goods that organizations can build on for years to come — not subscriptions or consumable items. Grants typically range from $500 to $7,500, and collaboration across agencies and counties is encouraged.
Applications open August 1
and are due by August 31.
